"Metalist 1925" handed over 100 interceptors to the military

"Metalist 1925" joined the "Unity Collection" and donated 100 "Taras+" interceptors to the military.

At the initiative of the club's president Bohdan Boyko, "Metalist 1925" made one of the most significant contributions - 11.5 million hryvnias. With these funds, 100 "Taras+" interceptors were purchased and handed over to the military, capable of destroying enemy drones in the sky.

Serhiy Prytula, founder of the charitable foundation: "Fortunately, we have had a long-standing, established cooperation with "Metalist 1925". This is not our first project where we collaborate. It is very valuable for us when a major club in the Ukrainian Premier League sets an example for others - both literally and figuratively. Because football is not just about competition, but also about social responsibility. Especially in such a sensitive matter as defending Ukraine from drone attacks. One hundred anti-drone interceptors for 11.5 million hryvnias is a significant contribution. We are very grateful to the club and everyone who inspires others to donate. Regardless of the amounts - the fact of involvement is important."

Yuriy Korotun, vice president of "Metalist 1925": "This is not the first time that "Metalist 1925", at the initiative of President Bohdan Boyko, has participated in such collections. It all started back in 2022, and now we are constantly in touch with foundations and teams. Assistance can be both large-scale - like a hundred drone interceptors, and less public: sometimes we do not announce it, we just help. It is quite logical. Now is the time when everyone should be united, help our soldiers, and together defend Ukraine."

There are many important donations within the large collection, but the participation of the club from the front-line city of Kharkiv carries special weight. For "Metalist 1925", this is an example of how sports go beyond the game and become part of a common struggle. Today, the club plays not only for the result on the field but also for the sky, which should be peaceful.
