Comment from the head coach of "Metalist 1925" Mladen Bartulovich after the match against "Polissya":
— First of all, I congratulate the opponent team on their victory. Thanks to my guys for their attitude and for the second half, in which we showed very good football, but didn't press the opponent. We had our moments, but didn't capitalize on our chances. The opponent used their chance and then played according to the score. At the end of the match, we pressed them towards the goal, there were many controversial moments. The referee didn't even want to look at VAR.
— Were you able to review those moments?
— I saw the last two moments, the handball by Fedor and by Kobernyuk. I believe it was a clean handball. In this season, penalties were awarded for such moments in other matches. Perhaps he didn't dare to award a penalty in such a tense game, but I don't understand why.
— In your opinion, what was lacking in the team today?
— Overall, in the second half, we pressed the opponent a lot, often through set pieces. We created chances, but couldn't convert them. The opponent defended well, played to maintain the score. We lack the final shot and the final pass. We understand what we need to work on and improve in the game.
— After this result, the gap in the table has increased to seven points. Do you still believe in the fight for the medals?
— We still have four matches to go, we need to play until the end. I told the guys that every match is like a final for us. We must win every game.
