Oleg Krasnopyorov: "It is a great honor for me to be here"

Oleg Krasnopyorov in an interview with the club's media talked about his appointment as the head coach of the "Kharkiv" U-21 team, the main principles of work, and the importance of the city of Kharkiv:

— Welcome to the club. First of all, please tell us how you received the offer: when did it happen, how did you consider it, and how did everything happen?

— First of all, I am very grateful to the club's management for their trust, for it is a great honor for me to be here, at the football club "Kharkiv," knowing their ambitions. When the offer came, the club's management approached me, and I think we quickly reached an agreement. Moreover, I know the city of Kharkiv, and it will always remain in my heart just like Poltava.

— Yovan Markovsky is your assistant, currently an advisor to the club's president Mykola Pavlov. Was it at his initiative that the invitation to your coaching staff to the club was made?

— I am sure that Mykola Pavlov played an important role, and the fact that there are many guys here with whom I played, let's say, in Poltava. So I believe that our adaptation in the club, of our coaching staff, will go well.

— What tasks, perhaps, have already been set before you?

— I think the club's management will set tasks even before the start of the season. But, in my opinion, the most important thing is for our young guys to progress and always strive for the highest goals.

— How much have you already managed to get acquainted with the team, with the players?

— The process is still ongoing. We only started yesterday, so I think everything will be fine. And most importantly, there should always be respect for each other. I think that's what teamwork is built on.

— Tell us in general about your vision of football. Which style do you prefer and find close as a coach?

— First of all, we will adjust as much as possible to the requirements of other teams so that the guys can adapt much easier when they move to the first team. The most important thing is discipline on the football field, aggression, sports anger. I think fans like it when the game is played more aggressively and there are many goals scored.

— Considering that this is a job for the first team, have you already had a dialogue with Mladen? Perhaps he gave some accents?

— Yes, we have already talked a bit, but I think we will continue to meet, continue to communicate. In other words, I would like the guys who will be added to the first team to be maximally adapted.

— We have already talked about Kharkiv, and this city is key in your life and career. What does it mean for you now to work in a club with the same name?

— You know what is happening in our country, probably. Kharkiv stands, holds the defense. This is a very important step in my life because I worked in this city, was a football player. And I remember very well the great emotions from the fans, from the packed stadium. So, it is very important for me to return to this city, and I believe that everything will be fine, and everything will be great.
