Rusol revealed details: why Bruniño's move to "Kharkiv" fell through in winter
The general director of Lviv's "Karpaty" Andriy Rusol explained why Brazilian midfielder Bruninho did not transfer to "Kharkiv" last winter.
According to the official, the player informed the club management of his desire to change teams at the end of the previous season. One of the options for continuing his career was "Kharkiv," and initially Bruninho insisted on this transfer.
However, after spending several days in Kyiv, the Brazilian decided to decline the move.
"At one point, he really wanted this transfer, but then, after going to Kyiv and spending a few days there, he probably got scared of the situation that was there at the time and returned to 'Karpaty'," Rusol said.
Nevertheless, Bruninho's desire to leave the Lviv club did not disappear. According to Rusol, the parties reached a consensus that the transfer would be the best solution, as the player was not completely satisfied with his position in the team, and "Karpaty" were not getting the level of play they expected from him.
In the end, Bruninho left the Lviv club and continued his career at Israeli "Maccabi" Haifa.
