Ukrainian Cup 2026/27. Known participants, format and date of the draw
The Ukrainian Football Association has started preparations for the Ukrainian Cup 2026/2027. Despite all the challenges of wartime, Ukrainian football continues to live, unite, and inspire.
In the new season, 69 teams will compete for the prestigious trophy: 16 representatives of the Ukrainian Premier League, 14 clubs from the First League, 15 from the Second League, 6 teams from the Ukrainian Amateur Football Association, and 18 representatives of regional associations.
The format of the Ukrainian Cup 2026/27 will remain unchanged: participants will play one match at each stage, and in case of a draw, the winner will be determined in a penalty shootout.
The qualification round will take place on August 9-11, 2026, when the 18 representatives of regional football associations will start their journey. The draw for the matches of this stage will take place on July 31, 2026.

Nine winners of the qualification round will advance to the 1/32 finals (August 21-23), where they will be joined by teams from the UAFA, clubs from the First and Second Leagues, as well as 12 representatives of the Premier League.

At the 1/16 finals stage, the winners of the 1/32 finals pairs will play, as well as four representatives of Ukraine in European competitions - Donetsk's "Shakhtar", Cherkasy LNZ, Zhytomyr's "Polissya", and Kyiv's "Dynamo".
In the final of the last edition of the Ukrainian Cup, which took place at the "Arena Lviv", Kyiv's "Dynamo" defeated "Chernihiv" with a score of 3:1. This triumph allowed the "blue and white" to secure a spot in the Europa League qualification.
