Coefficient Table. Another Black Thursday for Ukraine: zero wins, minus two teams

There was actually very little pleasure. LNZ saved the week from a complete failure, saying goodbye to the Conference League but grabbing 0.5 points (0.125 points) for a draw with "Gent" in regular time. "Polissya" and "Dynamo" didn't contribute anything.

It's clear that with such a "result," it's impossible to compete with rivals. Almost everyone gained more points this week and profited in relation to Ukraine.

This is especially true for Hungary and Croatia, who both earned 0.5 points this week - the former pulled away from Ukraine by 0.375 points, while the latter got closer by the same margin. And now they are breathing down our necks. Keeping three teams active.

Switzerland gained the same profit in relation to Ukraine this week - 0.5 points for coefficient table conversion (+0.375 points relative to Ukraine). The most threatening aspect is that Switzerland still has all four participants in the game.

Azerbaijan gained even more this week (0.75), but like us, lost two teams. The gap with Ukraine has decreased, but the key moment of our confrontation with them is ahead. "Dynamo" against "Karabakh." Who will remain with one team, and who will have two.

It will be difficult for us to compete with Scotland, even though their divisor is not "4" but "5". Nevertheless, this week they profited by 0.275 points relative to Ukraine. And just like in Switzerland, all teams are still in the game. Scotland surpassed Austria this week, which also did well: they gained a whole 0.6 points. All five teams are active. So the gap from Ukraine has increased (by 0.475 points), and our prospects of catching up with the competitor have decreased.

Sweden had a better week than Ukraine: they gained 0.375 points, losing only one participant. Weekly growth relative to Ukraine - 0.25 points.

Israel is a very dangerous pursuer for Ukraine. Consider this: they gained 0.625 points this week and all teams are still in the game. Israel is getting closer to Slovenia and will then try to challenge the positions of Croatia and Ukraine.

Romania, like us, lost two teams, but gained 0.250 points more this week than Ukraine. So there is no positive news here. The only consolation among competitors this week is Slovenia's failure. Three out of three of their teams that could have been eliminated in this round were knocked out. Even under these circumstances, Ukraine did not profit in the coefficient table this week: LNZ simply "compensated" for the draw obtained by "Celje."

So there is essentially nothing to be proud of. On the other hand, there is no reason for total disappointment. A lot will depend on whether "Dynamo" can advance to the main stage of the Conference League. The next few weeks could determine the entire season.
