"Dynamo" lost to "Karabakh" and disgracefully flew out of the European cups

Kyiv's "Dynamo" lost to "Karabakh" and, as a result of the two matches, was eliminated from the Conference League. Thus, the Kyiv team definitively finished their performances in European competitions in the 2026/27 season.

At the start of the match, Kyiv players were quite active and created several moments before the 11th minute. However, in the 12th minute, almost the first attack by "Karabakh" ended with a goal - Zubir made a good cross from the left flank, Mateus Silva failed to shoot properly, but the ball bounced to Muaddib, who scored past Surkis.

The scored goal boosted the Azerbaijani team, and they dominated the field almost until the end of the first half. However, Kyiv had their moments - but neither team managed to score again.

In the second half, Kyiv started more actively - first, in the 50th minute, Brazhko stole the ball from Yankovich on the edge of the penalty area, but his shot was not very successful. And in the 61st minute, "Dynamo" scored - but Dubinchak was in a minimal offside position during the pass from Guerrero.

Instead, "Karabakh" again used their chance - Jafarouliyev made a great cut from the left flank into the penalty area. And there, the first to reach the ball was the Ukrainian legionnaire of "Karabakh," Oleksiy Kashchuk.

After that, Kyiv did not fall apart - and even had several good opportunities to get back into the game. However, the hosts also had their chances. But the final whistle confirmed "Karabakh's" 2-0 victory - and that was the end of Kyiv's European journey this season.
