The captain of Shakhtar Donetsk, Mykola Matviyenko, commented on the match against Kharkiv in the third round of the Ukrainian Premier League. The "Miners" narrowly defeated their opponent (1:0), and the match ended with a scuffle in the stands.
"The confrontation, as always, was very tough. An organized team with an organized defense and a decent attack. Many foreigners, many Ukrainian players, and all the conditions are there for them. So every game against them is tough.
Why didn't we create anything after the goal? We tried to control the game, played according to the score. It was very difficult, considering the weather. It was so hot for both Kharkiv and us. So I think the lack of chances is related to this factor.
A scuffle in the stands? It's all emotions. Someone said something, someone responded. I think everything is fine. It's just a normal male conflict," Matviyenko said.
