Nevеrton: "It's very nice to score so quickly. A tough away game"
Brazilian midfielder of Shakhtar Donetsk Nеvеrtоn commented after the 3rd round match against Kharkiv (1:0), in which he scored a goal in the 1st minute:
– You opened the scoring in the 31st second. How did you manage to convert the chance so quickly?
– Of course, I am very happy. First of all, I am grateful to God for the opportunity to score in this match and I thank my family for the support they constantly give me. I dedicate this goal to them.
It's very nice to score so quickly because it's a tough away game. Indeed, the match was not easy, but most importantly, we were able to leave this arena with three points. I am happy that I could contribute to the team's victory with my goal.
– But after the goal, there were hardly any dangerous moments from Shakhtar. What was lacking for the team?
– I can't pinpoint any one factor. Perhaps the opponent had more time to prepare for the home match, as is usually the case.
It's not easy to play away, in the heat in the middle of the day, but in no way should this be an excuse for us. Yes, it was difficult, but it doesn't justify us, so we will try to better convert our chances and create as many as possible in the upcoming matches.
