Pavelka released from custody in Slovakia

The former president of the Ukrainian Football Association Andriy Pavelko is no longer in custody in Slovakia. According to Ukrainian MP Igor Mosiychuk, the Slovak court has changed the preventive measure for the former head of the UAF.

"There is news from the capital of Slovakia - Bratislava. Today, the Slovak court released former UAF president Andriy Pavelko on bail," Mosiychuk said.

Recall that on July 24, Pavelko was detained in Bratislava at the request of the Ukrainian side as part of the extradition procedure. Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are investigating a case against him for possible embezzlement of around 295 million hryvnias from the UAF through controlled structures.

On July 26, the Regional Court in Bratislava granted the prosecutor's motion and remanded the former head of the UAF into custody. Ukraine had initiated his extradition before that.
