Serhiy Rebrov assessed "Kharkiv" ahead of the 5th round of UPL

On Saturday, September 5, "Obolon" will play the 5th round match of the Ukrainian Premier League against "Kharkiv". The match will take place away, and due to the security situation, its start has been moved from 15:30 to 13:00.

On the eve of the match, the defender of the "brewers" Yevheniy Shevchenko talked about the preparation for the match, the strong sides of the opponent, the team's readiness, and his own recovery after an injury.

— Yevheniy, for our team, it's a new challenge - "Kharkiv", which, so to speak, has undergone rebranding. Have you studied the opponent? What can you say on the eve of the game?

— A very qualified opponent. We expect a tough game, but, of course, we have prepared. There was theory, the coaching staff showed us the moments of how we should act in the game. So we are ready for this match, we will give our best to get three points. They are very important to us.

— Last season you met "Kharkiv" three times: twice in the championship and once in the Cup. If I'm not mistaken, you took part in all these matches. How difficult is it to play against this opponent? What strong sides of the team can you highlight?

— There are qualified players, there are legionnaires of a good level. It's always tough and interesting to play with them, to test your strength against a strong opponent.

So I expect an interesting game and hope that we will achieve a positive result.

— Dmitro Kapinus plays in our team, who is on loan from "Kharkiv". As far as I understand, he won't be able to participate in the match tomorrow. Did he share any nuances about the opponent during the week?

— I don't know, maybe he will tell us some secrets (smiles). Maybe an interview with the coaching staff will reveal more. But nothing special.

I think he really wanted to play. But, unfortunately, he won't be able to help us. I think it will be a loss for us.

— Regarding your physical condition. You missed the last matches. How do you feel now and how ready are you to help the team?

— In general, I have already recovered from the injury. I have been training with the team for a week. So, I am one hundred percent ready to help the team.

— You have scored against "Kharkiv" before. Although it was not recently - about three years ago with "Veres". And earlier you scored for "Obolon" in the First League. Can you remember those matches and your goals?

— We played against "Kharkiv" with "Veres". I scored from a set piece. He (the goalkeeper of "Kharkiv" - ed.) remembers this match very well.

It was a shootout - a fantastic match. We were a bit lucky somewhere. We played 4:3. The circumstances helped us a bit at the end, and we won that game.

So all games with "Kharkiv" are very interesting. I hope that tomorrow we will also delight our fans with our game.
