The best coach and footballer of the Ukrainian Premier League in August have been announced

The Ukrainian Premier League traditionally conducts voting to determine the best coach and player of the month in the UPL Championship. The procedure consists of two stages.

At the first stage, UPL TV commentators and experts, as well as representatives of the media, summarize after each round - they choose the best coach, the best football player, and the symbolic team.

In August, four rounds took place in the UPL Championship, based on the results of which we selected four coaches and eight players - candidates for the title of Best Coach of August and Best Player of August.

At the second stage, the actual voting took place: separately - among fans online and separately - among commentators, UPL TV experts, and media representatives (this time there were 40 of them). In each survey, our candidates scored points, we traditionally calculated the percentage of points for them. And then we combined both versions - fans and experts.

The best player of the Ukrainian Premier League in August was recognized as the forward of "Karpaty" Jan Kostyanko. He took part in three winning matches of Lviv residents ("Kryvbas" - 4:1, LNZ - 3:0, "Bukovyna" - 3:0), where he was one of the main heroes - creating, scoring, helping teammates. After three rounds, the graduate of the Poltava club, who appeared in Lviv at the initiative of Myron Markevych, entered the top-10 rating in the player of the round survey three times, including twice in the top-5.

Experts placed him in second place (giving the first place to the UPL debutant from "Karpaty" - Brazilian Felipe), but the majority of votes from fans went to Kostyanko. And based on the total number of points, Kostyanko is the best player of the UPL in August.

The victory among coaches was won by Spanish specialist Francisco Fernandez, under whose leadership "Karpaty" gained 10 points out of 12 possible (the best result in the UPL in August). He was recognized as the coach of the round twice, and once the Lviv team's manager was second.

And in the survey for the title of coach of the month, Fernandez's victory is not in doubt - he is #1 in both versions (experts and fans).
