The head of the referees committee of the Ukrainian Football Association Nicola Rizzoli presented the traditional analysis of controversial episodes and refereeing decisions following the results of the 7th round of the UPL.
This report focused on the match of our team, where two key moments of the game were analyzed:
• Referees reviewed the tackle by the "Bukovyna" defender against the "Kharkiv" player Carlos Paraco. Although the initial decision of the referee on the field was insufficient, a detailed video replay demonstrated the use of a straightened leg and forceful contact in the area of the ankle joint. According to the explanation, this is considered a serious foul that should have been punished with a straight red card.
• The episode concerns the battle between the "Bukovyna" player and the "Kharkiv" defender Volodymyr Salyuk. The analysis of the movement dynamics showed that it was the "Bukovyna" forward who made an unnatural movement with his leg to initiate the collision, while the "Kharkiv" defender maintained a legitimate position. The referee's decision to allow the game to continue was considered correct.
