UEFA Coefficient Table. The first victory of the season at the cost of restraining the competitor

This moment had to be waited for quite a long time, but now it can be joyfully stated: Ukraine has won its first Eurocup victory in the 2026/27 season in regular time. "Dynamo" defeated "Karabakh" in the first match of the third qualifying round of the Conference League, adding 0.25 points to the Ukrainian treasury.

It is clear that this result did not change the situation drastically in the Coefficient Table. However, in our reality, when seasonal prospects do not look too optimistic, and competitors are pressing from all sides, every successful result is worth its weight in gold.

Therefore, Ukraine earned 0.25 points. It is worth noting the progress compared to Azerbaijan: this competitor did not score any points during the week, so we have a positive difference. It is especially important that these points were earned directly in a match against a representative of this association - "Dynamo" defeated "Karabakh".

However, among our competitors, Azerbaijan is not the only one who ended the week without points. Slovenia also remained with a zero score, so Ukraine has improved its position relative to it as well.

The most dangerous pursuer behind is Israel. The association has four teams in Eurocups and this week added 0.5 points to its tally. This is not the maximum possible, but Israel is currently the main competitor of Ukraine in the battle for the 23rd position in the Coefficient Table.

Romania settled for just one draw this week, allowing Austria to surpass it in the Coefficient Table. Ukraine is behind Romania by 0.413 points - the equivalent of two victories. In this context, the potential elimination of "Cluj" could play into our hands, as after a 0:5 defeat to "Tromso," their relegation seems almost inevitable.

Croatia is rapidly accumulating points - this week it earned 0.750 points. "Dynamo" (Zagreb), "Hajduk," and "Rijeka" are serious combat units. Croatia has already surpassed Romania and is now pressing Scotland, which earned 0.300 points this week.

It will be very challenging for Ukraine to compete with Austria. Among our competitors, this is one of the most powerful Associations, which is once again confirmed by its result - 0.600 points for the week.

Switzerland is already ahead of Ukraine by more than five points, so it can be ruled out from the zone of our direct influence. Instead, it is worth focusing not only on Austria but also on Sweden and Hungary, which this week earned no more than Ukraine: Swedes - one draw (0.125 points), Hungarians - one victory (0.250 points).

In the seasonal ranking (2026/27 coefficient), Ukraine is in the top 15, lagging behind only Azerbaijan among its competitors. This is another incentive to responsibly play the return match against "Karabakh." It will take place in a week, and for now, we digest the interim results.
