Legionnaire of Polissya: "If it weren't for the war, everything would be perfect"
The newcomer of "Polissya" Leandro Andrade shared his first impressions of being in Ukraine and also revealed his goal as part of the team.
– What can you say about the level of the Ukrainian championship, local footballers, and overall about your first weeks in Ukraine?
– Everything is very good. Of course, if it weren't for the war, everything would be perfect. But I feel very happy. I like Zhytomyr, and our training base is the best of all I have seen in my life.
Overall, everything is good. Besides, my family is about to come to me soon. So I can say that everything is going great.
– What goal do you set for yourself in terms of performance? How many goals or assists do you want to score?
– I don't have a specific number. I just want to give my best in every match. If we win but I don't score, it's okay for me. The most important thing is to help the team.
Victory should always come first. And if I manage to score a goal on top of that – why not? Every footballer loves to score, so I will be happy. But I repeat: the main focus for me is the team's victory.
After two rounds of the UPL, "Polissya" has two wins, and the Cape Verdean winger has already provided an assist in the match against "Kharkiv" – 3:1.
