Shakhtar legend arrested. Accused of violence
The former midfielder of Shakhtar and the Brazilian national team, Jadson, was detained in the state of Parana on suspicion of domestic violence.
According to Brazilian media reports, the 42-year-old ex-footballer allegedly grabbed his cohabitant by the neck during an argument and tried to strangle her. Law enforcement officers recorded visible marks on the woman's neck.
The victim also stated that this was supposedly not the first case of physical aggression, but she had not reported it to the police before.
Jadson was taken to a detention center. He is charged with domestic violence and causing bodily harm.
The footballer's lawyer has already filed a motion for his temporary release, emphasizing the lack of criminal record and the risk of flight.
