On August 8, "Metalist 1925" and "Sisters" will play decisive matches in the Champions League
On August 8, the following matches of Ukrainian clubs in the Women's Champions League will take place: "Metalist 1925" and "Sisters" will play matches of the second qualifying round.
Recall that on the 5th, Ukrainian clubs played their opening matches of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Women's Champions League for the 2026/27 season. "Metalist 1925" (Kharkiv) lost a tense match to Turkish "Fenerbahçe" - 1:2. Odessa's "Sisters" also suffered a defeat from Portuguese "Sporting" with a score of 0:5.
Despite the unsuccessful results, both Ukrainian teams will continue their performances in their mini-tournaments and will soon play matches for final placements.
If they win the match for 3rd place, Ukrainian clubs will continue to compete in European competitions and play in the first round of the UEFA Europa League; the fourth position (defeat in the match for third place) will mean the end of the European competition season for the teams.
