Journalist Viktor Vatsko shared his impressions of the match between "Dynamo" and "Karabakh".
- I believe that last week "Dynamo" showed two faces. One against "Karabakh" and another against "Veres". I decided to read what Azerbaijani experts write. I saw how last season "Karabakh" defeated "Benfica" and drew with "Chelsea". "Dynamo" looked very dissonant against their flight against "Paphos", "Samsunspor", "Omonia". In Azerbaijan, they were confident that "Karabakh" would pass "Dynamo", which, as they wrote, is going through difficult times. The fact that "Karabakh" is now in the Conference League qualifiers, not the Europa League, is an unfortunate coincidence. They carried the unfortunate Sofia CSKA, but did not score and lost in a series of post-match penalties. I thought it was not "Karabakh" there, but the Brazil national team.
And from the first minutes, they took control of the ball, but as often happens with those who want to be stylish but lack sufficient individual quality. The same pass after pass by "Karabakh" led to nothing. I liked that "Dynamo" came out to play from defense and did not want to compete with "Karabakh" in ball possession. Kyivans came out to run and work. Kostyuk put three hard workers in the center of the field. Brazhko, Lonveika, and Rubchinsky. I don't remember when Valentin seriously played for "Dynamo" in the starting lineup. But he came out and was omnipresent. He was everywhere - fast, dynamic, skillful. This is not Gattuso and Kalyuzhny. This is Rubchinsky. I dare say that it was the best match of an individual player of "Dynamo" in the entire European Cup qualification this season.
