Artem Smoliakov: "Very glad to have scored"
Ukrainian defender of "Kharkiv" Artem Smolyakov commented on the crushing victory over "Kalynivka" (9:0) in the 1/32 finals of the Ukrainian Cup. The footballer also talked about his scored goal.
"I can't say that we felt any pressure on the field. Maybe it looked different from the stands, but we understood that we were stronger. We created a lot of chances, although we need to finish them off even better.
I am very happy that I managed to score. In that episode, the ball flew over the opponent player due to the wind, I reacted first and sent it into the goal.
There was no tension in our game. I believe that in the next matches we will score even more, but for that, we need to make better use of the opportunities we create. The most important thing is that the team kept playing and didn't stop. We showed our attitude towards the match and respect for the opponent. We need to keep moving forward in the same spirit," Smolyakov said in an interview to the club's press service.
