Polish journalist's reaction to renaming Metalist 1925 to FC Kharkiv
Polish journalist Kamil Rogolski shared his thoughts on renaming Metalist 1925 to FC Kharkiv on his page in X. He supported the idea but noted that the team needs to improve its performances on the football field.
"This is the right decision - to distance themselves from any connections with Metalist and build something of their own. However, first and foremost, I wish them success in establishing a strong reputation in Europe. This season has been a complete failure, especially considering that they are supposedly the second wealthiest club in Ukraine."
In the 2025/26 season, FC Kharkiv finished fifth in the Ukrainian championship standings, earning 51 points in 30 matches.
