Today we were planning to announce the rebranding of "Metalist 1925" to "FC Kharkiv" - as a tribute to the city that has been fighting every day for four years now.
I support the club president's initiative regarding rebranding and believe that naming the club after the city is exactly what is extremely necessary now.
After our arrival at the club, the main idea was to preserve football in Kharkiv. And when the city is under enemy fire every day, it is more important than ever to show that Kharkiv is alive, that it is fighting, and we demonstrate the strength of our spirit, as the club unites everyone who lives, survives, defends, and loves Kharkiv
