Dear friends! The Ukrainian Premier League sincerely congratulates you on Independence Day!
In these challenging times, we feel the strength of unity, resilience, and invincibility of our people like never before. Today we celebrate the 35th year of Ukraine's Independence, although in reality, the traditions of Ukrainian statehood have a thousand-year history.
The Declaration of Independence of Ukraine on August 24, 1991, announced to the world the emergence of a new state on the political map. Back then, the right to independently determine our destiny, regardless of the Kremlin, was peacefully granted to us.
But the achievement of Independence is a kind of sacrificial act. And the full-scale military invasion by a monstrous state has become a real test for Ukraine, which we have been enduring for the fourth year now.
We are proud that the UPL is holding the Ukrainian Championship even during wartime, demonstrating that Ukrainian football lives and develops together with our country.
May Independence Day remind each of us that freedom and victory are achieved through daily work, faith, and struggle. We wish everyone courage, endurance, strength of spirit, faith in the future, and our Victory!
