Chornomorets returns to home stadium after Russian attack
Chornomorets' home matches are returning to the Central Stadium in Odesa after a Russian attack on the arena. A joint commission of the UPL and UAF inspected the facility and allowed the "sailors" to host opponents there in the current season, TaToTake reports.
The first such match is supposed to be a meeting with Kryvbas within the framework of the 4th round of the UPL, scheduled for August 30. However, the permit includes a significant restriction - the match will take place without spectators.
According to a source, the situation with allowing fans may change as early as autumn if security conditions permit. At the same time, Chornomorets is to continue the restoration of facilities at the training base in Sovinyon, which were also damaged due to Russian attacks.
It is worth noting that on August 7, Russia attacked the Chornomorets stadium in Odesa. As a result of the Russian attack on the Chornomorets stadium, a huge hole was formed. Office premises of the Odesa club were also damaged.
It should be mentioned that after two rounds played, the Odesa team is in the last, 16th place in the UPL, having suffered two defeats.
