After losing to "Kharkiv" U-21 in the 5th round of UPL-2, "Obolon" U-21 forward Artem Chornyi shared his emotions from the match, talked about his goal, and assessed the team's unsuccessful start in the championship.
– Artem, what are your emotions after the match?
• The emotions are negative because we lost. I believe the game was a draw, and we could even win. We had chances, could score and secure a victory. The second goal we conceded was completely unnecessary. Of course, the emotions are very bad right now.
– The team was losing 1:0 before the break, but immediately after the start of the second half, managed to equalize. You scored a quite curious goal. Tell us about this episode and what was happening in the dressing room before the second half?
• We went into the dressing room, realizing that we would lose again. We really want to finally win, get on a winning streak, and not stay in this black one. We talked a bit among ourselves, gave each other motivation to go out, score, and not leave with a defeat. After the goal, I thought that maybe there would be more emotions, we could press the opponent and win. But, unfortunately, it turned out as it did.
– The team conceded a very bitter goal in the final minutes. What are your emotions now? Did you have the strength and desire to play again?
• The desire and energy to play back and come out as winners from the field are always there. But once again, we lost. We need to figure out the team and each individual, primarily ourselves, what's wrong and why we are losing matches.
– After five rounds, "Obolon" U-21 has only three points and four losses. How, in your opinion, can you get out of this situation?
• I think we need to start winning. The guys are trying hard, it's visible on the field. I don't know, maybe someone thinks differently, but I see that everyone wants to win and gives themselves to the game. But something is not working for us. Maybe there is a technical flaw, maybe we don't fully understand each other. I hope that soon we will be able to correct this situation.
