23.09.2021. "Epitsentr" 0:1 "Metalist 1925". Ukrainian Cup, 1/16 finals.
Kharkiv residents defeated the hosts in Dunayivtsi with a minimal score of 0:1, although the match turned out to be very difficult for Valeriy Kriventsov's team. The first half was a tough battle: "Epitsentr" actively started and kept the clean sheet until the break, and just before the whistle, they even had a chance to score. After the break, the dominance of the guests increased, but chances were scarce. The decisive moment came with the appearance of substitutes - towards the end of the match, Protasov initiated the attack, Kryskiv took a shot, and Remenyuk closed it into the empty net. "Metalist 1925" did not demonstrate a perfect game and rather squeezed out this result, but achieved the main goal - advancing further and gaining much-needed positive emotions against the backdrop of problems in the championship.
