The head coach of the youth team "Kharkiv" Yevheniy Nazarov shared his impressions after the match and talked about what needs to be worked on further:
— Congratulations! How do you rate the team's game?
— First of all, I would like to note that we started the match very well - Taras Usichenko opened the scoring in the third minute. But, unfortunately, after scoring a goal, we failed to capitalize on the success and maintain the necessary concentration.
— After scoring a goal, the team conceded three goals. In your opinion, what was lacking to maintain the advantage?
— Indeed, today there were enough mistakes in defense, but the problems were not only there. We lacked quality and organization in building attacks, there were mistakes in decision-making and transitions from defense to attack. In addition, the opponent outperformed us in character and fighting qualities - he had more desire to fight for every episode and aggressiveness in the game. We lacked this today. We definitely need to work on this component.
— After two consecutive defeats, how important is it now to support the guys and restore their confidence?
— Certainly, it is very important to support the guys and restore their confidence. But at the same time, we must understand that this is a young team, and practically all the footballers who took the field today were born in 2009. For many of them, this is just the beginning of their football journey and character formation as players.
In football, it is impossible to always win. Defeats are also part of development, especially for a young team. Our task as coaches and mentors is not only to demand results, but also to teach the guys, develop them, motivate them correctly, and help them become stronger after such matches.
We have work to do, and we understand it perfectly. This team has potential, but there is still a lot of work and many peaks to reach ahead. The main thing now is to draw the right conclusions, continue working, and prepare for the next game with even greater desire.
