27.09.2019. "Prykarpattia" 2:3 "Metalist 1925". Persha Liha, 11th round.

Kharkiv and Ivano-Frankivsk teams gave the fans a real football show with a bunch of goals, mistakes, and emotions. The pitch of the "Rukh" stadium was far from ideal, but it only added to the struggle on every piece of the field. The teams started with high pressing. In the 12th minute, Tsiutsyura took advantage of a rough mistake by Kharkiv players in the center and elegantly chipped the goalkeeper - 1:0. "Metalist 1925" quickly came to their senses. In the 23rd minute, Romanov scored from a free kick (the ball flew into the net after an incredible rebound from two goalposts), and later he scored a brace, putting the guests ahead - 1:2. In the 45th minute, active Tsiutsyura headed in Janush's cross - 2:2 just before the break. In the 59th minute, Yampol with a powerful shot under the crossbar from the penalty area line again put the guests ahead (2:3). "Prykarpattia" rushed to equalize, creating chance after chance (including one-on-one situations), but Kharkiv goalkeeper Sidorenko saved his team. The hosts pressed until the last second, but the Kharkiv players withstood the onslaught of attacks and brought the game to a hard-fought victory.

27.09.2023. "Metalist 1925" 0:3 "Vorskla". Ukrainian Cup, 1/8 finals.

Under the rain at "Livyi Bereh," a fierce cup game took place, where Kharkiv players tried to fight back, but the more experienced opponent punished them for mistakes. Poltava opened the scoring in the 15th minute when after a quick flank attack and unsuccessful defensive actions during the ball clearance, Ibrahim Kane powerfully and accurately shot past the goalkeeper from close range. Towards the end of the first half, in the 45+1 minute, the guests managed to score a goal "in the dressing room": after playing the ball near the penalty area and another pass, experienced Ruslan Stepanyuk deftly put the ball into the net in one touch, doubling the advantage. In the second half, Kharkiv players tried to fight back, but in the 74th minute, "Vorskla" caught the opponent on the counterattack, during which a quick break by the guests ended with a pass to the onrushing Ivan Nesterenko, who confidently converted his chance with a shot from a favorable position, finally sealing the match outcome.

The maximum tension and struggle kept the fans on edge from the start to the final whistle, but one fatal mistake just before the break nullified all the efforts of Kharkiv players. Our team had the initiative and tried to press on the opponent's goal, creating chances to score, but the guests played as pragmatically as possible and squeezed the most out of their chance. Already in the added time of the first half (45+1), Poltava conducted a successful attack, which was finished with a precise shot by Maxim Marusich. This goal remained the only one in the match, as despite all the attempts to fight back after the break, Kharkiv players failed to change the score on the scoreboard.
